Pop Art: Dune Cover Edition

5 comments:

  1. Very interesting idea to compare book covers. I remember trying to compare all the various editions of "The Hobbit" and "Lord of the Rings" and being fascinated by the choices made by the various publishers, designers and artists.

I'd love to see more posts like this!

  2. The third one down is my copy! I've had it since high school in the mid-80s. I think it's about time for a re-read, too.

I agree with Pierre - I've always been interested in cover illustration, and considering that the '70s and '80s timeframe you so often address on this blog had a lot of extremely vivid cover art, it seems like an appropriate thing to expand into.

I appreciate both you and Pierre letting me know when you like certain kinds of post, and I am very happy to continue in this direction.

      All my best,
      John
