I loved that Galactica:1980 reused the footage from the film Earthquake(1974) and inserted the Cylon Raiders squadrons attacks causing the destruction of Los Angeles. Brilliant budget saving that was a success.

Wouldn't this show have been better if the Earth the Colonials discover is a post-holocaust world that has to be resettled by humans? It sure as frack would beat what happened on this show.
