Hi John,
ReplyDelete#5 The Harlem Globetrotters Popcorn Machine
As a very young boy in the mid '70s, I actually had a Harlem Globetrotters (Saturday morning cartoon) Lunchbox for school one year in elementary school.
SGB
I still have my cardboard poster from seeing them for my 10th birthday in 1973, autographed by Geese Aussie. I am glad they are still going strong as an enterprise, and their message is still inspiring, but nothing can compare to the power they had in the 70's, with Geese, Meadowlark Lemon, Curly Neal and Pablo Haines. They were on par with Evel Knievel for their Only Right Now sense of mania building.
ReplyDelete4 is either the Electric Company or Sesame Street. I'm showing my age, but I remember watching that sketch when i was a kid.
ReplyDeleteIs it too late to ID #4 as Sesame Street?
