It has always amazed me how those helmets and suits can protect them from 'space'. Very iconic images.

It's a testament to our human ingenuity, bravery and perhaps even our foolhardiness that we take to the dangerous final frontier in such thin protection.
But it says a lot about us as a species, and what we can accomplish when we set our minds to it. At least I hope so...

Another stellar idea. There are so many terrific ones here. Lost In Space, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Space:1999, Ghosts of Mars [I think], Buck Rogers, Farscape. We could even add Sunshine, The Naked Tiem suit Spock wore, 12 Monkeys... there are so so many really terrific space suit designs. Wodnerful stuff John.
