The tenth birthday of cinematic boogeyman Freddy Krueger should have been a big deal to start with, that's for sure. Why? Well, in the ...

ReplyDeleteThe Asteroids ship looks like it's used the Buck Rogers Starfighter as the basis of the craft. Cool piccy though !
ReplyDeleteThe best one was 'Yar's Revenge' - not only was the art on the game cartridge cool but it came with a mini comic book! (I still had my 2600 machine until recently... No one has yet beat my mom's high score on that game.)
ReplyDeleteAstrid:
ReplyDeleteI must challenge your mother to Yar's Revenge now! (I still have a working cartridge and 2600).
And Michael -- oh my gosh, you remember Texas Chainsaw and Halloween 2600 games! So cool! Do you happen to own them? I'd love to see what the cartridges look like. (I never owned em.)
And Andrew - you are RIGHT! That ship on the Asteroids cartridge is a re-crafted directorate starfighter from Buck Rogers in the 25th century. Good eyes!
John-
ReplyDeleteCheck out the Angry Video Game Nerd on the web. He shows the cartridges, as well ads posting hilarious reviews of them...I think you'd enjoy them!
Sorry,John, I do not have the "TCM" and "Halloween" carts, but the roms kick ass.
