Go Ape Day: 45 Years of Planet of the Apes!

Today -- February 8, 2013 -- is the forty-fifth anniversary of the 1968 theatrical release of Planet of the Apes.  At almost the half-century point, the saga has come to include five feature films, a live-action and animated TV series, comics by the drawer full, a re-imagination film in 2001, and a 2011 re-boot.

It's a madhouse, I tell you.  A madhouse.
