Reader Top Ten Greatest Science Fiction Film Endings: Le0pard13 of It Rains...You Get Wet.

Friend and blogger extraordinaire, Le0pard 13 of It Rains...You Get Wet, presents today his selections for the Reader Top Ten Greatest SF Film Endings.

Visit Le0pard13's blog and read all of his excellent descriptions for his choices, here.

And in the meantime, here's the list:

10. Abra Los Ojos (1997)

09. Donnie Darko (2001)

08. Source Code (2011)

07. District 9 (2009)

06. Escape from L.A. (1996)

05. The Thing (1981)

04. Children of Men (2005)

03. Wall-E (2008)

02. Aliens (1986)

01. Planet of the Apes (1968)

I love Le0pard 13's list, and can't help but note a pattern: the (once-critically-derided) cinematic works of John Carpenter are getting a lot of love from the leaders.  The Thing (1981) and Escape from L.A. (1996) are regular titles on these lists.  Of course, I'm delighted by that fact.

And in regards to the Alien franchise, I have seen all the titles (save for Alien Resurrection) split the vote for that film series!

Great job, Le0pard13, and thanks for sharing the list here.

  2. Another great list. It's easy to understand why there is some crossover for great endings. Some films deliver the absolute best and touch us all across the spectrum of taste.

But it's even more fun to see the choices that set each list apart.

Always enjoy these Top 10s. It's another great theme John.
