John, these STARLOG Photo Guidebooks along with STARLOG magazine were simply a fun part of my '70s boyhood. The two volumes of Starlog Photo Guidebook Spaceships (the red volume one that you have posted here and the larger blue second edition) were awesome for anyone that loved science-fiction spaceships.

I remember seeing the ads for these in the regular monthly issues of Starlog and lusting mightily for them, but my local drugstore never carried any of them. I've never seen one "in the wild." I'd still love to add them to my collection... guess I'd better go have a look on eBay!
