Sci-Fi Wisdom of the Week

"You are right, I have always known about man. From the evidence, I believe his wisdom must walk hand and hand with his idiocy. His emotions must rule his brain. He must be a warlike creature who gives battle to everything around him, even himself."

  1. Great quote! As true today, sadly, as it was when it was originally written back in the 1960s.

I'm not sure how I feel about the new Apes film coming out, Rise of the Planet of the Apes. I probably won't be able to afford to see it, but I do want too; I liked parts of every incarnation of the Apes franchise, even the Tim Burton remake had a few good moments!

I wanted to let you know I finally started the blog I mentioned about early space exploration (as seen in science fiction) in organized missions such as the Apollo, Soyuz, or shuttle programs. I've got the first real post about a UN Space Police Station at my blog, The AlterNASAverse: http://alternasaverse.blogspot.com/2011/07/united-nations-space-police-station.html and a companion blog, Gordon's Galaxy, has a review of the book it came from, which is actually more of a cross between Alex Rider and Tom Swift, Jr.: http://gordonsgalaxy.blogspot.com/2011/07/storm-infinity-code.html. Feel free to comment on either, or both, posts. Feedback always welcome. (I would have gotten my posts up sooner, but I was helping my wife get her Fantasy Island site up and running.)
