How did my love for the movies actually begin? Was it at the drive-in double features (where I saw Death Race 2000 [1975] and Lege...
John,
ReplyDeletePhoto #1 in this set should be very familiar to everyone. I have seen this location, onscreen, many, many times. It has to be Bronson Caves in Griffith Park, Los Angeles.
As far as I can determine, a lot of movies and TV shows have been filmed here and, in the surrounding park, beginning as far back as the 1930's.
If you would like us to guess the one movie you have in mind out of the 100's we have to choose from, I'm afraid you will probably need to give us a clue of some sort.:-)
At least I will need a clue. I throw myself at your feet and beg for mercy. LOL

p.s. I don't think Mr. Maddrey is a wuss!:-)
Is 1 The Hills Have Eyes?
ReplyDeleteDan
the top pic is from Tremors. Recognize the white-top mountains!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, some great guesses, and some funny inversions.
ReplyDeleteLar: you wrote that the top picture with the white mountains is from Tremors. The white mountains are in the bottom picture, but yes...that's from Tremors. (I think you just typed something wrong.)
Dan -- picture # 2 (not picture # 1) is from Hills Have Eyes. so I'm giving you credit for that.
And Faninawe, you are doing GREAT, even without clues. But here's a clue so Joe can get off my back :)
For the top picture (of the cave...) think of a movie that's been re-made a few times; one that's based on a novel.

Sorry, that last comment posted twice for some reason...
ReplyDeleteGood guesses all...
Even tougher ones tomorrow...
I have a movie in mind for photo #1 that meets all the criteria. It was filmed at Bronson Caves, it has been re-made at least three times and it came from a novel, The Body Snatchers, by Jack Finney.
ReplyDeleteMovie: Invasion of the Body Snatchers - 1956
Location: Bronson Caves, Griffith Park, Los Angeles, CA
Thanks for the invaluable clues John!
