You are so very right that SeaQuest's early CGI effects pale in comparison to Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea(1964-1968). Also, the Seaview control room set complete with Flying sub hatch and four main windows is still a more impressive set than the SeaQuest DSV 4600 control room. The four main Seaview windows set complete with rear projection of the exterior ocean activity on the surface cruising or beneath the surface are still impressive today. SeaQuest DSV 4600 needed a large "Star Trek" bridge view screen in lieu of the large windows of Seaview. SeaQuest DSV season one, like Space:1999 season one, was the series at it's best. Thankfully, Space:1999 season two had major changes too, but did not totally ruin what was established.

SGB
SGBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07137406272001346149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12380553.post-35560348977556569302016-12-22T10:24:21.475-05:002016-12-22T10:24:21.475-05:00Always pictured Scheider and Beacham having though...Always pictured Scheider and Beacham having thoughts on the show along the lines of "Well you know, actors got to eat and pay the bills to you know."Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03097420555737415471noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12380553.post-68722679887732003952016-12-22T00:07:35.698-05:002016-12-22T00:07:35.698-05:00I wish I could add something substantive to this p...I wish I could add something substantive to this post but really, I can sum my feelings up with "Yup." :-) I loved the first season too and was disappointed when it all started falling apart the next year. The show was genuinely good and refreshingly ambitious. Mind you the minute I hear the name "Roy Scheider" I'm pretty much already sold on a production.nowherehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12125582590094636085noreply@blogger.com
