I have also become aware of the negative reputation it has attained with some viewers. I get it, I guess you could say, but I don't agree with it. I loved The Revenant, and then I was shocked to find that I loved Birdman even more!

Thank you for the comment, my friend.John Kenneth Muirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15629979615332893780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12380553.post-60843129510274738472016-04-11T22:15:56.603-04:002016-04-11T22:15:56.603-04:00I look forward to these.
I will only say that I lo...I look forward to these.
I will only say that I loved The Revenant. I loved the fantastical realism of the film.

But it does appear some people don't appreciate the film. I can understand why, but I have difficulty understanding why people cannot disconnect for the experience and be open to the magical and fantastic elements of his cinema.

Case in point, I saw The Revenant with three other people, two female and one male. All three disliked the film. We sat in the cinema absorbing the film. When we emerged I was elated by the experience of The Revenant. It was to my utter shock that we did not see the same film. One of the viewers was a hunter and woodsman, but they simply could not embrace the film. I was stunned by their rendering of the experience.SFFhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04256589316922398158noreply@blogger.com
