So much of th...Thanks for your thoughtful comments. So much of the criticism...no hatred, directed at the prequels and Lucas is based on superficial misunderstandings and rubbish. Midichlorians come to mind. I remember well how many critics had no understanding of which direction the first movie was going. Some couldn't even see Palpatine was the future emperor and thought the trade federation was the Empire! Lol!! He at least tries to look behind what's in front of him. But he's also a bit too independent. In your terms, he opts our of his circle to train Anakin. And we know how that turns out.<br /><br />I still very much dislike the prequels. Not for the usual reasons. I just think the thematic material goes in completely the wrong direction.<br /><br />One of the reasons I read you is because, even in the worst media, you at least try to find something good.
