I assume it was more (and less) than we though. Tim Daley was in it, I think.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13988889539730397967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12380553.post-17496784732007399912009-07-17T20:05:09.710-04:002009-07-17T20:05:09.710-04:00Hey Nir!

(In fact, readers of the blog can find my reviews of those, and Traveler, in the archives...). They were also Killer Serials that didn't make the grade.

I watched Point Pleasant and couldn't believe how bad it was. And then, recently, I've wanted to watch it again just to make sure my memory didn't trick me.

It really was that bad, wasn't it?

John Kenneth MuirJohn Kenneth Muirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15629979615332893780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12380553.post-6978582412188928602009-07-16T13:05:30.988-04:002009-07-16T13:05:30.988-04:00Hey John, great article.

It was quite powerful, but it never really got of the ground and captured the audience, and was cancelled after a few episodes.

Surface/Invasion/Threshold (2005)- three "clone" series, which tried to cash in on the succes of Lost.(None of them survived more than a season).

Surface dealt with misterious sea creatures, Invasion dealt with a small town facing an alien invasion, and Threshold dealt with a secret army unit, trying to deal with (again) aliens. Of the three, my personal favorite was Surface, which was the only one who had some kind of an original idea. the other two quite literally sucked.

point pleasant (2005)- This one was a real peace of crap. a failed attempt to combine a supernatural theme (about the daughter of Satan, no less), anda cheesy teen soap, like The O.C. or Gossip Girl. Everything was bad about this one- the Acting, the Writing, the Directing- Everything. It was cancelled after a few episodes.Nirnoreply@blogger.com
