Mustache or not, I figured that Jack Palance ("Ripley's Believe it or Not!", which I had to look up) was fairly recognizable.

But nope. That's not him.
That figure is...Anthony Quayle, opening and closing host of the 1973-1974 horror anthology "The Evil Touch!"
Very obscure!
