I always thought this poster was interesting, because it is a hybrid of the TV and movie Enterprises. It has the sensor array from the TV series, but the rectangular nacelles from the film. However, the nacelles are attached at their midpoints to the struts, not at the bottom. I believe this version was once used as photo reference for the Marvel comics version of Star Trek that followed the first film.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I know this was the design for the Star Trek:Phase 2 TV show, which was kind of a hybrid between old and new, they did actually start building the miniature for that show before it got scrapped in favour of doing a movie.
